The VA has recently announced it will now require the Veteran’s Statement (VA Rate Reduction Certification Form) to be completed and sent to the veteran for signature within 3 business days of application for all VA IRRRLs.

Please make sure that the version of the VA Rate Reduction Certification form in your LOS or document system contains the same information as the sample form provided by the VA.

Note that the top portion of this form must be completed by the Loan Officer prior to being provided to the veteran for signature.  Meaning, the veteran cannot sign this form if the top portion is blank.
